Casitas vs Pro qualifier

Featured Replies

I'm trying to decide between the casitas and the pro qualifier. The Casitas retails for $119.99 and the Pro qualifier retails for $99.99 and will soon be $59.99 during the spring classic sale. The Casitas has a composite frame while the pro qualifier's frame is aluminum. I own a Citica and a Pro qualifier reel already and the pro qualifier performs amazingly. I also love shimano but feel like 60 bucks for an aluminum frame reel is a steal. I want the gear ratio to be in the 7 range so I can put it on my 7' MH casting rod and move my 6.4:1 pro qualifier on to my 7' M crankbait rod.

Im a fan of aluminum framed reels.

I'll bet you can find a citica at a discounted price online somewhere. If I could do that, than that's the route I would go. That doesn't mean I'm saying that the casitas is a bad reel.

An aluminum frame for me is a must.  I'd rather pick up two pro qualifiers for the price of one casitas. If you wait until they are 59 dollars it's a no brainer.

Just my opinion.
