Trailer Wiring Question

Featured Replies

Hey guys!

I finally got my boat home last night.  On the drive home, I noticed that my defrost was on, and some of the stuff on the temperature control would not reposnd.  I know it has to do with the trailer because as soon as I unhooked everything went back to normal.  Any ideas on where to start trouble shooting?  The trailer worked with my buddy's Yukon (factory wired Yukon).  I figured it would have been the same since I have a Tahoe, but I guess it's different.  The trailer is a flat 5-plug and I am using an adapter since the Tahoe has a round plug.

Thanks!

Sounds like a wire is crossed.  When you hook it back up try them one at a time and make sure they are controlling what they are supposed too.  Also check your ground, it may be feeding back through the wireing.
