Lake Marion in December

Featured Replies

Been a member for quite a while but first time posting. I live 5 minutes from Lake Marion and really want to get out this winter and chase some true lake giants. Been throwing big swimbaits for quite a while, mostly in ponds and have done fairly decent for myself but I've just recently got a 17' Triton and really want to get out on some big water to test my skills. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Not looking for specific "honey holes",  just general ideas as to what to look for. New to the electronics part of it also so any help there would be greatly appreciated .

SC DDChaser, I'm literally in the same boat, TR175 Triton and live about a half hour from the bottom of Moultrie and also new to the area and looking for help. Went out last spring from Santee St. Park and had some luck in the trees. Gotta be really careful of the stumps everywhere though so take it slow and watch your electronics. Had a little luck a couple weeks ago around the Hatchery on Moultrie and looking to search a little more soon.
