Are there portable rod holders out there?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am for the most part a bank angler. When I am fishing I like to take somewhere between 2-5 rods with me. Since, I am moving a lot when I am fishing and sometimes even fish while I am walking, I found a way to stick some of my rods into backpack that I bring with me. That solution is not optimal though.

I am wondering if there is some sort of rod holder where you can store and quickly access your rods.

Thanks

I have the Rod Runner (3 rods). I love it. I am very picky with my gear and don't like to lay them down on the ground. This keeps it safe and off the ground. I love being able to grab it and go. The price is decent in my opinion.

Yeah, that seems pretty slick for the shorebound angler!

I've been eyeing the Rod Runner just waiting to find one on sale to use.  I fish a lot of shoreline with muddy/rocky shoreline without and bushes or trees to lean rods against so bringing more than 1 or 2 rods is always a chore.  The Rod Runner looks perfect for quick switching and making sure my combos stay safe.

Screw it, Rod Runner has 10% off, I just got the 3 rod version, $43 and change shipped.

There's the 3rd grip rod holster but it's been discontinued. It's good for a 2nd rod without having to set anything down. Socal surf fisherman love them. If you ever see any, make sure to grab them.
