Bow mount hand controll TM Q

Featured Replies

I have a new hand controlled bow mount TM that I do not like right now.  The handle is so low I have to bend at the back all day or try to kick it w/my foot to turn the rascal.  Is there any experianced hand controlled bow mount TM guys with advice on best way to use?

A friend of mine who is a tournament competitor prefers this type of tm.  He says that he just nudges the handle with his leg to steer.

These seem to be more popular with the saltwater inshore fishermen. I think it's because they tend to fish standing up and do more sight fishing. Bass fishermen seem to do more sitting so the foot control is more comfortable for them.

I have a MK Riptide on my bow, the handle tilts but it's still too short to reach comfortably. The troller has a 42" shaft and I have it set so that the prop is about 2" under water when running. I think MK makes a tiller extension handle but I haven't taken the time to track one down yet.

I have an extension handle but it doesn't go up.  I see guys all the time with some sort of after market contraption that allows them to steer while standing up instead of bending over all the time.  Does anyone know what I am talking about?

when i was using a hand controlled TM i bought the following handle extension

Big Foot® Telescopic Extension Handle

he worked great. it telescopes and swings up and down. if you have a hand controlled i HIGHLY rec this.

i was also using the big foot tm foot switch.
