Elite 7 HDI noise and poor image

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have been reading your posts for a long time. I have had so many questions answered by all of you by reading old posts. Now I have a question I haven't been able to figure out. I have an Elite 7 HDI that is driving me nuts. The sonar and HDI look terrible full of noise and clutter.   Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

This is set back to the factory default. Except the HDI color.

A couple more.

You do have some noise...how about a pic of the XDCR mounting to help us sort this out.

Thanks Eddallen, Here are the pictures. I'll hit the water again in a couple hours and play with it some more. I really appreciate your time.

To function properly the transducer has to be at the bottom of the hull where the water is when on plane. Where you have it isn't.

Thanks Wayne. It's was installed by BPS. I'll ask them to move it.
