Gator Bait

Featured Replies

I recently bought a small, 6ft inflatable raft for fishing rivers. Since I live in Florida, alligators are always a potential threat. Do you think the chances are very high that one might try to attack while I'm in it?

Strap a few dead chickens on the side and maybe. Other than that. I don't think so. But would you want to take that chance? I wouldn't.

My uncle kayaks on lakes around Orlando with a lot of alligators in it. He said that they just leave you alone. I wouldnt worry about it. Actually I would if I was on a raft in alligator infested waters. :-/

I frequent a Florida fishing forum and there are quite a few there that use kayaks to freshwater fish and have no problems with gators.  I wouldn't worry about it.
