Went out to Markham park in Plantation and nothing. Fished out of west boat ramp and went as far north as I could and worked my way back.  

 

Anyone else try there .  I've heard good things.

    There have been a few dd's caught out of there but I only fished it once and didn't do that well.

    Like everywhere else some days are better then others.  Only fished it years ago, and the wave runners were out in full force. Markham Park is actually in Sunrise, not Plantation.

    Never fished there but close by is holiday park. Great spot.

    There is a shallow spot in the middle of the canal where it opens up into a wide canal.  It used to marked with a navigation marker.  Crankbait in this area can be magic.  Sharp drop-off from 2 feet to 20 feet.
