Reconditioned Trolling Motors?

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever purchased a reconditioned trolling motor from Minn Kota? I came acrossed them at cabelas and it looks like you can save a lot of money going that route. They still come with a 1 year warranty. Just wonding if anyone has one and what they think about it.

I have a reconditioned bow mount MinnKota I bought form BassPro several years ago and have not had a lick of problems.

I have a Roconditioned MinnKota that came with the boat when I bought it. I've had no problems with it, as far as I know the previous owners never had any problems either.

I bought a reconditioned one from Cabelas in Kansas City, and I put it on the night before the tourney, set the trolling motor in the water and went to hit the pedal and the cables snapped right away, well Cabelas did not have one they could replace it with, so i just spent the extra 150 and got a new one, i would never buy one again, thats just my opinion though

I have a reconditioned Minn Kota Maxxum.  I've had it for about a year and yet to have any problems with it.  It's truely a work horse too, I bang it on everything rocks, gravel, sand, mud, docks, whatever.  I'm tough on stuff, and this has been a great buy for me.  Probably saved $200+, I would definately buy another.
