Riverside(Senko take off)question

Featured Replies

I bought this at a local Wal-Mart last summer when of course I did not know how to fish it and I have found that now the fish on my local lake love it. My wife says it is army green with purple and light green glitter in. My question is this. Does anyone know where I can get some senko take offs with the slit in it like this one has? It seems like you can really tell when you have a bite better with the slit. I have searched all the Wal-Marts around here with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if someone could explain if the slit makes a difference or if it is all in my head. I think the real question is which brands have the slits in them. Thanks

I'm having a hard time figuring out how a slit can help with detecting a strike. I don't believe they make a difference with these baits on the hookset either. As far as I know, there has been no mass exodus from slitless Senkos.

If I may be blunt, yes, I think it's in your head, as you suggest as a possibility. But we know how important confidence is, so if the slit gives you more confidence, then by all means use them.

Good luck.

Black Magic Plastics...I have 2 packs in 4" size...one is the same color you posted

Got them last year at Dick's I think or maybe Gander Mtn...now that I have switched to *** Soft Baits thats who I would recommend for plastics with the slit in them...

You will find dozens of "***", a generic name of many brands of knock off's that have a slot in them. You can get some from *** or check around the internet.  Just about everyone who sells tackle has some sort of Senko type bait.
