Howdy!

I do a lot of crabbing and bass fishing all in the Chesapeake bay. The water is extremely murky and from the surface you can't see more than a foot or two deep. I'm trying to find the best underwater camera for these water conditions. I've read tons of reviews and it seems that Marcum is very good but most of the reviews were for clear, ice water. Price isn't a huge issue, I'm more worried about being able to see crabs and rockfish in this dirty a** Maryland water! Please steer me in the right direction, this forum will end up making my final purchase decision. Thanks fellas

The only thing that will give you more camera range is IR and that may be marginal since the subjects would be the same temp as the water.

Imaging sonar would be a more functional tool for what you need since turbidity is not so much an issue.

That makes sense but I think it would be way more fun to pick a spot, drop a camera in, and see if there's some delicious Maryland crabs there

Does anyone else have a suggestion? I might just call a couple of camera manufacturers and ask what they recommend
