Duckett White Ice 7-1 H Experience and Opinion

Featured Replies

Can anyone inform me about the 7-1 White Ice? Especially if you have used it for hollow body frogs. I have enjoyed my current White Ice rods. Just can't find this one near me to hold and compare. So will have to order without actually doing some store aisle fishing.

Really? Nobody has used the 7-1 Heavy Whit Ice? Which Duckett Rod would you guys recommend  for frogs?

If you already have some white ice rods then I'm certain they will be similar so it's really your call?

I heard the Pete Ponds white ice Heavy rod is a good frog rod.  I have a terry scroggins 6-10 medium heavy white ice and I love it.  It is my dedicated buzz bait rod. very light and balanced.

Thanks for the input. I do like the 7-3 H Pete Ponds rod.  I mainly use mine for jigs. Just trying to workout what the 7-1 H Byron Velvick would be comparable to. The power and actions on the White Ice rods seem quite different from the Micro Magic rods.

I have to agree with this.  I have migrated to G loomis IMx for the most part, but the white ice is still my favorite for slinging a buzz bait.  I love the balance.
