Cajun bass boats?

Featured Replies

Are Cajun bass boats still made? I saw a '94 17.5' today. It looked good, but I'm not interested is buying anything that's not supported any longer.

Cajun was another manufacturer bought out by Genmar during their little run of buying out Bassboat companies.  Genmar decided not to keep the company and I believe the last year of production was around 1997 or 98.  Cajun made a fine boat. They were innovators of many of the standards of today.  They invented the first dual console with lounge seat fish n ski's.  Then they upped that by inventing the fish n ski's that most all are familiar with today.  They were the firsts with aluminum storage compartment lids and they had one of the first digital dash boards.  Their boat owners fanbase is very loyal and dedicated.

BTW, since the boat is now 12 years old their really is no "support" left.  Anything you'd need to have done to that boat could be handled by anyone.

My friend just picked up an 84' Cajun with a 70 hp Merc for $1500.  It is a beautiful boat.  Really sparkley.

CAJUNS ARE REALLY NICE BOATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You wont go wrong.

It was certainly a sad day when Cajun boats ended production. That is certainly a brand that in the right hands could be resurrected. There was always something cool about a Cajun bass boat. If I found a great deal on a mid nineties model I wouldn't hesitate at all about buying it if the condition was right.
