Bought a couple of the 6 inch in the baitfish color. I am wanting to know best uses, thechniques, Equip, etc... Also what are what your most productive colors?

Love my matt lures baby bass but I needed something more weedless. I kept hanging up around the hardwood trees I fish. If you have any ideas on making it more weedless let me know that also.

I love the mission fish! Extremely versatile.

I use a 7'11" Shimano Crucial H with a Calcutta 400b. A bit overkill in some situations, but my motto with backbone and line is "its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it" . The six inch is kind of the swing bait. Small enough to throw on a beefy flippin stick but still big enough to chuck on true swimbait gear too. 25lb P-line is the line I am comfortable with.

As far as techniques: Honestly, just fish it. Flip it into the gnarliest crap you can, chuck and wind in open water, slow on the bottom like a jig, open pockets in weed beds, the possibilities are endless with this bait. Figure out how your fish like it, they WILL tell you in time . Colors are somewhat water specific, but also kind of irrelevant in alot of situations... I own 8 colors, and most of them have teeth marks...please note the Avatar ;D

My dads PB and only swimbait fish came on Matt's BB, but I don't get a chance to throw that bait much. Dan is the man for that one!

I caught several 5-6 lbers on the matt baby bass and even modified one by cutting the top hook off at the fin and attaching a weedless mustad treble with one point buried in the body on the bottom. Have not had a chance to try it out yet, should work..Very weedless.

I have yet to get bit on the mission fish but am going to fish it tonight for at least a couple of hours. I figured that baitfish color would look good at night. I will be using and old plueguer bait cast and 7ft my rod with 20lb p-line hope to get bit on it. Do you turn the hook out any on yours fourbizzel? I am way down south in Arkie land so I might buy some in the baby bass and blue gill pattern next.
