Hello To All...Found this site and started reading...Could not believe how much info here...Also...I appreciate the fact that no one is BLASTED for asking a question...I APPRECIATE THAT...Now, to my question...I have a 14 ft. Fisher Marine jon boat that is 23 yrs old...It is only 38" wide...I want to add a deck to the front and storage areas...Boat has rivets and some are breaking away from the beanch seats...I like to bass and catfish...I also have a Sea Hunt 172 Triton center console that we take to the Gulf sometimes and then to pull the kids & grandkids on tubes & skis...Not really too good for bass fishing...I have found a 1995 MonArk 16' tricked out with depth finders, trolling motors, ect...Boat is in excellent shape...Can get that one for less than $4500.00...Has 40hp Merc 2 stroke...Opinions please...Thanks ahead of time, and, BE BLESSED...

I'd go with the monark if its in good shape. The jon just isn't wide enough to put a deck on and be safe.

Took the plunge...Got my new-to-me boat...Now to get registered and GO FISHING...JDH
