Lowrance Ifinder H2O GPS ????

Featured Replies

I was not sure what forum to put this in so Glenn, RW, Etc, if it needs to be moved, I apologize.  I am looking to spend some money on a belated birthday present for myself and was intrigued by these units.  One question that I have is, do they come pre loaded with any maps or do I have to purchase map cards seperately?

Thanks.

Thanks, that is what I thought.

If you're gonna spend the money buy the H2OC for the color screen. A little extra money goes a long way here. I have the H20C and a buddy has the H20 and there is no comparison. The black/white screen is difficult to read sometimes in direct sun light. Plus I found a web site where you can get a H2OC for $218 right now.

They also have all the accessories you need including map cards. As far as they go you have a few options.

Lowrance makes there own with HOT SPOTS maps co. and they are broke up into sections  and if you are lkike me and fish lakes that are in different sections you will be shelling out alot of extra dough for extra cards. However there is a co. called NAVTRONICS that makes a card that included all of the USA with most of the major lakes in HOT SPOTS format. Check out there respective websites for what best fits your situation.

Hope this helps.
