BPS Extreme Rods

Went to the Hampton BPS today to get a 7-foot medium heavy Extreme rod for pond fishing and the guy working the fishing department told me that BPS had recalled all of their Extreme rod stock.

He continued to surmise that BPS is probably going to introduce a newer version in the future.

Anyone out there know about this????

Last weekend the Bass Pro in Cincy had tons of them on clearance racks

i love the extreme series and hope they are not discontinued. I've also been on the hunt for a few new ones and can't find them anywhere. I think as said above, that they were cannibalized wit the carbonlite series.

I haven't tried it out, but the newest bionic blade is made of th rt 3 graphite. The same as the extreme series. Maybe you might find some luck with that rod.

I got 2 extreme rods. Love em both.

Thanks, guys.

Will check out the BPS in Ashland next week to note if they have any left.

Appreciate the feedback.

I fished with Extremes for ten years before I converted to Carbonlites.  A little heavy for my old hands, but they were work horse rods on the Potomac.  Never a problem with them.
