Just found this guy and thinking it would be a heck of a lot better than my tackle bag that hangs off my shoulder. I do a lot of walking and thought this would be good but it looks a little chincy. aka not well made. just wondering if anyone uses it and how the longevity of it is or if anyone uses a sling style bag like this? I put it on in store and it felt a little odd but ive never used anything like it before so wondering what you guys think?

I have a spiderwire bag similar to that, without the front flap velcro part. It holds a good amount of tackle. Maxed out, probably a 3700 size terminal tackle tray and about 2 3700 plano boxes, plus a worm wallet. I switch between that and a Molle Sling Pack:

It depends on whether I want to go smaller with the molle pack or larger with the spiderwire. The only drawback is the spiderwire doesnt have a bottle holder. If I had to do it again I would have just gone for the molle pack.

In the days I used to wade fish, a sling pack was by far my favorite. I only carried a small amount of tackle so my pack was MUCH smaller than the one you are looking at. The sling style is nice in that you don't have to take it off to get in it, and you swing it out of the way while fishing. If I'd have carried anything as big as the one in your picture, I'm sure my back would have blown out years ago.

When I started to fish again I used what I had available which was an Oakley Sandbag sling pack.  It's much smaller than other sling packs on the market but I found it very handy because I didn't carry much stuff with me at the time, and whenever I needed something I could just swing the pack around my body and I could grab it.  Nowadays I carry a bit more than me and I like the more even weight distribution a traditional backpack provides, but it is kind of a pain in butt to have to remove the backpack and find a clean level place on the ground (mud, bugs, steep ground, wet plants, etc) to set the backpack while I re-tie.  But if the sling feels comfortable to you, and especially if you find yourself reaching into your tackle bag often, I think you'll like using a sling-style pack.
