Charging TM Battery

Featured Replies

At present I do not have a battery Charger, and I want to take my boat out on its maiden voyage. The Battery does have some juice,im just not sure how much. Would it be a wise decision to take the battery to Autozone for charging for this maiden voyage, seeings how I dont have a charger and they charge batteries for free?

Yea, it would be kinda smart to try and charge the battery.  From what you describe, the battery is probably junk anyway.  You can't let a battery sit for an extended period of time without charging it.

I wouldn't play around with the battery.  Get a wal battery and charger.  Not the best setup by any means, but you don't want to be stranded especially if the weather is rough, and they power alot of boats.

You can buy a battery charger from Wal-Mart for about 30 bucks.  In my opinion, owning and operating a trolling motor without having a battery charger is bordering on insanity.
