Looking for a good tackle bag.

Featured Replies

Looking to replace my beat up Jansport school bag I've been using as a tackle bag. I'm looking for something not too huge. Right now my bag has 4 of the flat plastic tackle boxes in it and other random stuff. Scale, tools, soft plastics, etc etc. It has to be able to be strapped on the front of my kayak as well. My kayak has the bungee cords on the front to hold down my bag. Picture of my yak included. So what are you fellow kayak anglers using for a tackle bag?

I'm not a kayak angler but I bought the BPS extreme qualifier 360 tackle bag on sale here while back and I like it good. I figure it would fit on your kayak. It's not huge but holds quite a bit  of stuff and it has good reviews on their website.

Those Plano Guide Series bags are nice bags. The only thing that I don't care for on them is they don't have an actual, handle on the bag to carry it with, just a shoulder strap.

I went with one of these in the large size. These have both a handle and an optional shoulder strap. I have 1 season of use out of it and it's held up great so far.

I think, realistically speaking, every company that makes a bag has one that will suit your needs; it really comes down to what you find is your preference among them all.

I decided on a Plano guide series bag that I picked up for 50% off as the tackle store was closing shop and I couldn't afford to not get it.

Cheers, Attila
