Hello Everyone, 

 

Ive been looking for this forum and searching for some decent fishing spots on Hillsborough River i can hit from shore. I dont have a boat and completely new to the area.  I've been to Riverhills Park and tried fishing past the boardwalk but it was fairly crowded and not much area to cast in, and the area on the other side of the ramp has a ton of vegetation ( maybe a recomendation on lures for dealing with them?)  I saw Lettuce Lake has some boat rentals for 25$ but mostly i hear from you guys to stay near 40th/56th st d**n and thats just not doable from there but maybe the fishing is ok that far north? 

 

If not Hillsborough river maybe you guys can share some other local fishing spots that would not require a boat?

I have had some luck in the past Hillsborough river State part, but haven't been there in awhile so don't know the present conditions.
