Theres a 85 18' champion f/s bassboat with a 1985 150 merc. The boats in excellent shape. Everything works (except livewell, might be a fuse) and the motor has good compression . The ladys asking 3k for it. Is it worth that? What do u guys think?

That's a 184DC.  Make sure you walk the floor looking for soft spots and definitely check out the integrity of the transom.

$3k is a pretty good price for that boat.  The 184 is a great running boat and one of the best Champion produced. I should know.  

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE TRANSOM:

 Dont Buy if:

-Transom Flexes under weight on motor

-Mounting Bolts sunken into transom

-Black Streaks running down transom, mean water

If the transom and floors are intact, I say that is one heck of a price.
