Is there any brand of line that is favored for casting lighter lures on a baitcaster?  Last night I was trying Sufix Elite 14lb with a floating worm and had a lot of trouble versus the 12 lb Big Game I had previously used.  At this point I am changing back to 12lb or maybe even 10 lb Big Game unless someone can point me to something better.  I should add that the fishing conditions are normally not big bass but does have a lot of close quarters fishing.

I use 20lb PP Super Slick 8. It works great for weightless plastics.

I have been using 30 lb J Braid on my baitcasting reels. It has .011 diameter and seems to work well and it is very reasonably priced.

Thanks...does the braid cast easier than mono in this situation?  Looking for the best line I can throw for just lightweight baits generally..mostly floating worms, 4 inch worms and such.

I use 30lb 832 for this and it works really well, as would any quality braid.  It takes a little getting used o fishing braid versus mono, but it's much, much more manageable because of it's limpness and lack of memory.  

My personal preference is 8# line for light stuff like that.  That is if it is on a Medium rod.  If on a ML rod I often use 6#.  I'm mostly using Big Game, Siege and AN40.

For real light lures, gamma torgue 10 or 20 lb

30# braid will cast light lures better than 12# mono, IMO. It's limper and has no stretch, to boot. I like it for single hook presentations. But if you get too light with it, it tends to dig into the spool when you set a hook or have to yank on it. I usually use a spinning rod with 20# PowerPro for what you're describing.
