Depth Finder Cabling Question

Featured Replies

Hey all,

With my Depth Finder setup, I have about 10ft of excess length on the transducer cable. I usually just coil it up, tie wire wrap it and tuck it near the transom mount. My question: is there a correct/specific way to store the extra transducer cable?? I don't get interference now, but just wondering for better ideas. Thanks again,

Just store it out of the way and out of harm. I wrapped mine up with a bread tie, and stored it where I ran all my wires.

Yea, I figured it might be as simple.  Thanks for puttin up with the newbie questions.

I would suggest that you coil the cable in a figure 8 and then fold the 8 in half to make a circle.  This will reduce the posibility of interference.
