Thru hull transducer

Featured Replies

I am getting ready to install a new shoot thru the hull transducer in my Champion. I am upgrading from a Lowrance X85 to an LMS332c. I have the transducer and epoxy, all purchased from Lowrance. I have the directions that were provided with the parts and it appears fairly simple. Does anyone have any tips that may save time or trouble? Any advice would be appreciated............................Al

Get yourself an empty roll of masking tape and use it as a form for the transducer. Tape it down to the bottom of the boat and set the transducer inside it, then fill the ring with the epoxy and push our transducer into it. Be sure to get all the air bubblels out of the epoxy. When it dries, the cardboard will get wet aver time and you can remove it leaving a perfect ring.
