Anyone Fly fishing the James River?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask and see if anyone has been out fly fishing on the James (in the Richmond area) yet, or in awhile?  With all the rain we have had over the past couple of weekends the river has really been blowout.  That and I am almost recovered from broken shoulder (casting shoulder), I wanted to seek any fishing reports.

Thanks,

Wdy

I have been wanting to but every time i drive by to check out any moving water i have a sudden urge to drink some chocolate milk....not the best conditions for fly fishing in my experience.

^ yeah, I agree.  I talked to a fly fishing manager down at Orvis and he is fishing it now, but not for me.  So, I think with this rain coming in now I am going to start hitting lakes around RVA.
