im workin on converting an old fiberglass paddle boat into a 2 man mini boat so far ive cut the bench seat,paddle wheel,rudder,off the boat and am working on plywood decking and building a mount for my 36lb thrust troll motor     any tips   or advise.

how big is the boat?

In the first place, I haven't heard of anyone trying to convert one of those boats so without any pictures or a better description of the boat it's kinda hard to give you advice.
