VMC Ike Approved "Neko Hook" Question

Featured Replies

Have any of you Fisherwoman and Fisherman had the opportunity to use the Michael Iaconelli "Neko Hook" that is built specifically for the finesse technique of neko-rigging... If so what's you take on them? They are forged with a three-degree offset for an improved hook-up ratio... The VMC Ike Approved Neko Hook features a long shank and a wide-gap that imparts the "Ideal Vertical Posture"... Finished with a resin-sealed eye for increased dependability, the VMC Ike Approved Neko Hook delivers professionally modified performance that finesses anglers can count-on...

I have never fished with ikes neko hook. That being said I really like all the other styles his line provides. Most all the hooks in my box are ike approved. Never had a bad experience. the price is better than most other brand also.

I've never found a need to use a neko specific hook.  It's just a wacky rig with a nail weight so I use wacky hooks.

Agree with this--I just use the hook that I use for wacky fishing also.  Do not myself see the need for a "special" hook to fish basically the same rig that I have been fishing for years. I do understand it is about sales but I just  do not see the need

I use them when I'm dropshotting a worm more than 4 inches long.
