humminbird383c

Featured Replies

i just purchased and installed the 383c humminbird. it was the only gps/ff/depth i could find that came with an in hull transducer. does anyone have any pros or cons about this particular model? i have installed it and i  have the transducer held to the inside bottom of my hull with clay. i put it in the water to see if it reads, which it does. i will mount it permanantly after i fish with it this weekend. any reviews or opinions about this particular model is what i would like to hear from you all. thanks in advance. oh yea the reason i had to get the in hull transducer, is because i have a pathfinder flats boat that has a tunnel hull and the only available space i can use an external transducer is taken up by my trim tabs. and i wasn't to keen on drilling a hole through my hull and use a thru hull transducer. thanks for any info.

I can't help you with that model. I have the 787c and the Matrix 87c and both are great units. I have looked at the 383c and it looks great just the little brother of the 787c. I am thinking of getting that for the TM of my small boat.  Let me know how its works out for you. I think you will be happy with this unit.
