IN VA LOOKING FOR A JON BOAT

Featured Replies

I've been looking for a decent jon boat for several months need one at least 14' with atleast a 48" beam width and trailer, If anyone knows where i can find one please PM me, I have tournaments starting in March and need to get one set up by then.

Thanks bassin1887

I would look around on Ebay, all the local newspapers classified sections (just do a search for the newspapers websites). Check out local bass clubs forums for postings of boats for sale. I got my boat for a pretty good deal from here http://b4.boards2go.com/boards/board.cgi?user=bassjons4 Occasionally boats will be posted up there. Look at craigslist.com. Just look around and eventually you will find something, just be prepared to drive some to get it. I don't know where you live in VA but I live in Fredericksburg and had to drive down to Norfolk to pick mine up. Good Luck

Edit: haha just looked at your profile and your in Fred too

thanks for the link

There is a guy that lives a couple of doors down from me who moved out of his house suddenly a few months ago and put his house up for sale. He has a boat sitting in his back yard that meets the description of the one you want. I have no idea what the condition of the boat, trailer or engine is (it does have a small gas outboard.) I do know that you will definitely want to paint it before fishing a tournament because it currently has a really funky looking design on it that is likely to get you laughed at. However, this could be a distressed seller situation--so you might get a good enough deal to have some money left over for repairs and improvements. If you like, send me a PM with your e-mail address. I do have a mediocre picture of the boat, and might be able to put you in touch with the guy.
