i was looking through a magazine the other day and found that i could buy a 10 foot raft with motor mount and floor boards for $300...does anyone here fish out of a raft? i usually only fish small ponds and i dont have a truck nor can i afford a bigger boat...anyways the raft holds up to three adults, capacity is (950 pounds)and can have a 3hp motor mounted on the back (wich i have lying in the garage)...does anyone here know from experiance if this would be a good buy or not?

xducer is a short way of saaying transducer.  The transducer is for the fish locator.  Sorry I confused you.

I fish out of a sea eagle 9 and it is a very solid platform for small lake (under 1000 acres) fishing.  I have a Lowrance X96 depth finder and a Minn Kota trolling motor and it gets me to every inch of my local lakes.  The boat fit in the back of my old BMW 328i and EASILY fits into my new Chevy Equinox.  There are still times when I wish I had a real bass boat but I catch plenty of fish in my sea eagle.
