Has anyone stopped to fish the tye river? Made a trip out to where it crosses the 29 and found some of the greatest smallmouth holes in Va. caught 60 in 2 hours with 6 fish larger than 16 inches. Just wanted to see if this river is worth investigating a little more or simply a lucky hole or day.

    I think you hit a good day.  Granted, I love the Tye, but have not fished it in awhile.  I believe what drove me away was all the land owners starting to put up No Trespassing signs.  

    But, I know exactly that hole you are talking about.  Glad you knocked them out that day!
