I know there are a lot of electric only fisherman here....I am about to buy batteries for my trolling motor and was wondering the best type to get.  Will any deep cycle do?  I am planning on running 2 batteries in 12 volt fasion to my front trolling motor.  Input is appreciated

u will run into a lot of opinions out there. i use wal mart everstart maxx and everstart regular. the reason i do, and this is important to me, i can take them back to any wal mart and complain if i have problems. i get 3 yrs out of the regular everstart, this year i went to the maxx. i hope to get 3

+ out of those. if u have to go half way to timbuktu to buy a battery it makes it difficult to return them. i am sure there are better batts out there but u will pay more and travel more. just my 2 cents
