I have a older 9.8 merc motor that I just bought and it has no spark, I was just wondering if there was anyone in here that has any diagnosis info for me. I was thinking it was the points or condenser, but at $40 to $50 a crack i am not throwing parts at it. If anyone knows how to test the ignition module or the condenser I would be much appreciated,or if anyone has a book on older 9.8's I would consider paying for some coppied pages. I filed the points and contacts on the stator already.
