Picky picky me

Featured Replies

Ok, allow me to preface this by saying that I am looking for a unicorn. I want to find a 5.5 to 6 foot casting rod ML or M power to slap a Morrum 1600 on. I want the rod to be light, rated down to at least 1/8 and be affordable, say sub-$100. Go.

Build one yourself on a spinning blank, cut down to your preferred length.

One of these might suit?

Might be a contender with 6" off the butt end, and an appropriate handle and guide kit?

As above.

Have a look on the Mudhole site, you will find all sorts of blanks at all sorts of prices.

I'm going to try it on my OLD 5'6" Lightning Rod today and see what I can cast with it.
