Well I know that they make a riptide for salt water.But was wondering if i could use my endura in some of the rivers up here most are brackish.Was curious if it would deteorate my TM.Any info would be appreciated thanks in advance.

I have used my boat with a regular trolling motor in salt water with out an issue. The key is to hit it with fresh water as soon as you pull it out. I'll take my boat to the NJ Shore to go for flounder, crabs or what ever in the back bays. It is nice to use the bow mount to help control your drift. When I pull the boat out I go right to the nearest self serve car wash and put $5.00 in the machine and blast every nook and cranny with the wash wand.  I even bring a hose and muffs to flush the engine. There is usually a hose bib somewhere at the car wash.

Brackish water wont be as bad. I would still hit it with fresh water ASAP when you are done.

I agree, get it with the garden hose and you will be fine. I used a 30 pound thrust in brackish water for years and the only thing that corroded was the battery terminals....and I didnt even hose it off.

Sweet I was hoping so I'll give her a try. The rivers are thawed but most lakes aren't and the season opens sunday.I'll let you know how it all works out.

Just a word of caution if your Tm is still under warranty.  It will void your warranty using your Tm (Minn Kota) designed for fresh water in salt water....

I've used mine many times in the St. Johns river around Palatka Fl and in the James river in VA and have never even bothered to rince them off.  Never really even gave it a thought, and have never seen any ill effects from it but it's seldom I keep a motor over four or five years.
