Endura 40 transom mount-weedless?

Featured Replies

My vector 55 will be laid up for awhile, so I went to wal-mart and bought an endura 40.

My lake is really REALLY weedy, so I bought the weedless wedge replacement prop.

But then I noticed in the owner manual it said that the prop is "weedless prop"

I was going to switch the prop over before launching with it for the first time, but now I think I may wait and see if the factory installed one has decent weedless capability.

Anyone out there have experience with this?

Avid, I have the 40 endura bought it last year and I know mine is not weedless. Was wanting to switch out my prop for weedless also but I thought the specs on the prop indicated that the thrust had to be more then 40 lb thrust. If not I'm switchin mine also so let me know how the prop swap goes...

the weedless wedge MKP6 is the model and size you need for the endura 40

I got it at Wal mart so it shouldn't be hard to find in your area.

You may have been looking at the Weedless Wedge II.  this is the prop that came with my Vector and it is totally weedless.  The only time I get weeds is when they wrap around the motor shaft and those rare times I get blown deep into a thick grass mat and try to power my way out.

The MK's with the weedless wedge or WWII prop advertise on the box, so I was surprised when the manual said "weedless Prop"  I'm guessing it's a slight variation on their Power prop, but probably not up to the demands of Florida lakes, especailly during this drought.
