I am getting ready to buy a new tracker V 18 tournament seires with a 115 Mercury. ? is should I go with 4 stroke or optimax ? Any & all opinions welcome. thanks for ANY info.

    IMHO, you should get a used OMC from about 10 - 15 years ago.  But, if you have to waste money on new, I would go with an ETEC.

    I prefer the power of the 2 stroke. Gas consumption isn't quite as big an issue anymore between the two.  

    If you're looking for a quiet motor though the four strokes are pretty darn quiet.
