My dad got this unit for his bass boat and is not the most technically savvy man alive, so I need some help because I guess I am not either.  Does anyone have any tips as to how we can set this unit up, or how to read what I am seeing?  I have it set for the side imaging but it is hard for us to read.  We fish depths that are form 50 to 1 foot of relatively clear water.  Any help would be great!  Thanks in advance

You can check out the side imaging website that has a good video to show how the unit shows the bottom.  http://www.sideimaging.com/  Just click on the "understanding side imaging"   You need to remember that the boat symbol at the top of the screen shows your current positon and you are seeing what is on the lake bottom to the sides from that point.  It is like having a camera mounted on the back of the boat looking left and right.  If I can help our more let me know.
