Anyone use or have used one of these for heavy cover flippin, pitchin or punchin?

I need to get another rod for these and wanted something a little on the lighter side as some days I won't put it down. I was thinking about an Okuma Mat Daddy but a few friends who know how I like my rods felt that it would be a little too soft for my likeing.

Of course I will be testing one in the store with the reel and line I plan to use (65lb or rare occasions 80 lb power pro) before I buy it, but before then I just wanted a few opinions from anyone who actually fished it.

Max weight I will be useing would be a 2oz but the majority of the time a 3/4 to 1 1/2oz.

Thanks

Mike

I have been using them for five years and now have nine.  I use Med and MH 6'6" and 7'.   Can't beat the price when they go on sale each year and I have never had a problem with them.  My old wrists love their incredibly light weight.  Believe me they take a beating in the Potomac grass beds and the occasional snake head, which strike like a freight train.  I  use the Carbonlite 7' MH for plastics, swim baits, jig and pig and frogs and it has worked for me.
