Hey folks, just made a deal on a new (to me) 2000 19' FS with a 150 Evenrude. My question is the boat has 2 Lowrance X-25's on it and for my first farkle I may upgrade to bow unit, what would you all suggest (without breaking the bank)? Looking in the $300-$400 range.

Are you looking for a dedicated fishfinder or a ff/gps combo?

I have a Lowrance 510C on the and a 52 on my dash.  The 510 is pretty because of the color and more expensive.  The 52 works very well for under 200.

I am looking just for a fish finder, I already have a Garmin 376c gps which will also has sonar capabilities. I was thinking of using it on the dash. I am looking for a good fishfinder for the bow.

If you fish open water structure a gps on the bow can be invaluable and will help you not get a twisted neck.  Something to consider.
