Hey all, I have a need for a 1" ID butt cap. I shortened a rod and need a cap. Anyone have a spare or a place to get one without an exorbitant shipping fee?

Bingham Ent. is in Kansas, if it's a bass rod, or something similar, not a heavier saltwater rod your grip diameter will be at, or a bit over 1 inch, so your butt cap OD would be 1 inch, not the ID.

Here are the only butt caps I found with a 1" ID. I'm assuming you wish to slide this over existing cork.

If you're looking for a slip over butt cap, a 26 mm ID (1.02") X 1.25 inch OD is pretty easy to find the Batson Forecast version is a BC26B I believe. They look like the bottom of a crutch in a way, just a bit more rounded though on the butt. There may also be a 1.4 inch OD version, just can't remember.

I bought one from Mudhole for like $4 shipped.

Now, I have my cap, with what do i affix it to the handle? Would Loctite Gel Control be okay or is there something else?
