Rock Bass PB?

Featured Replies

Anyone here as addicted to rock bass as me? I love a nice size rock bass, and my lake there are plenty of them. I don't have pictures, but what's you rock bass PB? Mine is 1lb. 14oz. 1 oz. Off from the state record!

Welcome aboard!

Thought I'd amend my "welcome" to say that

yes, Rock Bass are fun to catch. I only caught

them when I lived in WNY, in the Honeoye

Creek...My brother and I used to wade and fish

it.

I've never weighed a rock bass, but I have caught some big ones. They hit hard and fight like a decent bass for the first couple seconds. I've had them slam topwater baits, spinnerbaits and jigs, and earlier this year I caught one after it blew up on a frog through some lily pads. Aggressive little fish.
