Tatula Elite 7'3" HF vs Tatula Elite 7'1" HF

Featured Replies

I'm looking to add a jig and texas rig rod to my arsenal.  I love my original Tatula rods, so I'm very interested in the new Tatula Elites.  Has anyone fished either of the below?  What are your opinions?

Daiwa Tatula Elite 7'3"  Heavy-Fast  Takahiro Omori "Pitchin' rod"  model# TAEL731HFB

Daiwa Tatula Elite 7'1"  Heavy-Fast  Andy Montgomery "Skippin' jig rod"  model# TAEL711HFB

I’d recommend the 7’1 as I just picked it up and I’m loving it.

Have you handled the 7'3" too?  I'm curious to know if they differ in action at all, or if only difference is length?

I can telll from fishing with the 7’1 on Saturday it’s way more preferable over my longer rods. As for a comparison between the two, I can’t say. You’d be hard pressed to go wrong between the two.
