Hi,

I am pretty new to using baitcasters and have spent the summer learning their use and after a thousand birds nests have it semi cracked, I purchased a 7'4" G Loomis E6X swimbait rod for small to medium swimbaits etc. I am not sure what reel would best match this, I have read using 15-17lb hybrid/mono line is best any advice on a reel choice with a decent capacity, I am good up to about $245, any advice would be welcome.

Curado k I think would do the job in 621 or Calcutta in 581 good reels!

I have a ci4 on that exact rod.  The cronarch mgl is also a great fit
