I am pulling my bass boat to DeLand, FL on Feb. 19, 2018 and will be fishing from the 20th to March 2nd.  This will be the earliest I have ever fished Florida.  I'll go anywhere the bite is good and would appreciate info on the St. John's central section and other "honey holes" within an hours drive.  I chose this time of year because I've caught "long bass" in late March and April that I suspect would have been 2 lbs. heavier in January or February. Any info is appreciated!

    Good decision on location as well as time of year.  Full moon is 1 March and you will be there leading up to that and as long as a pesky front doesn't mess you up, there will be a lot of big fish going shallow.  I'll pm you with a little more specific info.
