Featured Replies

First off I want to thank everyone on this site I’ve asked tons of questions and have jumped around a lot but if you can help me one last time  ON THIS SUBJECT lol I’ll need more help on something later. I would be very greatful

I’m looking to buy two carbon 12s I have no electronics atm so would the insight mid/high/ 3D be the best for the console? And the mid/high/totalscan be the best for the bow?

What else would I need to buy nav mapping Card platinum right?

Any other cords needed?

What would be the best mounts for one at the bow and one on the right side of the console balzout by console and th marine at bow?

Any other suggestions?

You bet there is another cord needed.  It is generally going to be called the NMEA 2000 Starter Kit, which has several cords, T's and a power lead for the network.

What is this network..? ?   It will connect both of your Carbons so that either Carbon can use ALL of your devices.
In other words your front Carbon will be able to use it's sonar, AND THE REAR SONAR.  ... Once you decide where you want to put the various Sonar devices you can use them on either device.

Since the 3D structure scan will build a model of your bottom after multiple passes, there is no reason why it couldn't be mounted from or rear.   Check out the spotlight scan for the front trolling motor.
