Wind N 15 steady

Water clear 67*

Pre front conditions.

Went to Vista View tonight for an hour of pre-front fishing.  Went to one of my favorite spots and never moved my feet one time.  The bite was deep but steady at the drop-off in about 10 foot of water.  I fished a stick-o the entire time casting to deep water, letting it settle and then quick short jerks and long pauses.  The bite usually came after the short jerks and as the bait settled back down.  There was wind blown current in the area and bass were in the vicinity waiting for bait to blow in.  I caught 7 bass and a few misses using this technique.  As the sun set, I felt a solid hit, and then the line began to move off deep.  Setting the hook I had a nice 21.5 inch solid bass, over 5 lbs.  Finished the day as the sun went down.  Another day in paradise!
