I am looking to spend 200-250 on a portable sonar.  I fish a lot in rented row boats with my trolling motor.  I am looking at the Humminbird 535 Portable or the Bottomline 4200.  Has anyone used any of these products before?  If so how would you rate it.  I have seen mix reviews on Cabelas and BPS website.  

If you have any other suggestions I would be glad to do some research on them as well.

I just placed an order to cabela's this morning, I am getting their portable Eagle FishMark 480 Soft Pack for $249.00. With shipping and handling it comes out to $264.94.

I've read great reviews from it on the site and it has a rating of 4.7/5 from 6 reviews. It is exactly what I want with my 12' V hull Alumcraft jon boat. It has a suction cup transducer, a clear 480X480 film, supertwist 5" diagonal screen display.

I've read reviews for the fishing buddy thing, and personally it doesn't seem dependable. Just keep looking bud! You'll find something you like!  

More Pixels, Battery, Charger, and better reviews.  I am surpised I missed this on their site.  I can't buy this until my commission check in two weeks.  If you could let me know what you think about it I would appreciate it.

The order won't come in until sometime next week. I just ordered it today. But when it comes in I will be sure to give you a heads up. As soon as I get it a friend and me are going to hit the pond and attach it to our canoe, and then ride around and see how it works. If it picks up good detail or has any flaw I will be sure to give you every insight!  

It seemed like a real nice unit, I read the reviews and the information and for me, it's perfect!
