Zodiac type inflatable boats...

Hey guys, just trying to get a few more opinions on inflatable boats with wood floor inserts and such..

I fish at a local reservoir that has a NO TRAILER policy, you can car top it and such, but no trailers, thus making it much easier to get an inflatable boat. BUT, I also fish Clear Lake, The Delta, and other places, so it needs to be able to hold up in those places.

The one below is one local to me and is $450. My obvious concern is holes, especially when using it for fishing, hooks, pliers, etc...

How easy / hard is it to pierce a hole in the boat and if I do, is there some type of device that can fix it while on the water so the boat doesn't sink and by by fishing rods and gear...

I assume the raft has a wooden floor like mine. It's been my experince that the fabric is very durable and difficult to puncture. Most lures will simply slide right off the pontoons without causing any damage. Just use a little common sense and you will have no problems. If you DO get a puncture, all is not lost because quality inflatables have multiple air chambers. My SeaEagle has five. You will not be able to repair a puncture or rip while the chamber is inflated. My boat came with a repair kit. I assume there is also one for the boat you are looking at.

Here's my boat.

Yes it has wood floor boards. Thank you very much for the help!!!

Can't comment on the trailer, and Long Mike is the expert on this type craft.

But please give some details about the trailer you showed.  Now that's something I could use with my canoe.
